Arlequín Hard Enamel Pin

Rare butterfly endemic to Puerto Rico, commonly known as Puerto Rico harlequin or "La Quebradillana". It can only b e found in the northern karst region and in the west central volcanic-serpentine region. The total population has been estimated t o be fewer than 100 adults. Habitat destruction is the main threat, among other factors. The prickly bush, Oplonia spinosa, is the butterfly's only host plant for oviposition.
